Explore the Arts with Guerrilla Art Studio
At Guerrilla Art Studio, we value the visual arts. Our art classes are full of innovative young artists. Join us and begin creating.
Guerrilla Art Studio was founded by Shoshana Gleit in February 2019 with the goal of expanding access to the arts in San Mateo-Foster City School District.
The name Guerrilla Art Studio was selected in honor of the Guerrilla Girls, an anonymous group of female artists that fights discrimination and supports human rights for all people and all genders through their posters, books, and art exhibits.
At Guerrilla Art Studio, it’s our mission to ensure that the arts remain strong. We offer classes to elementary students of all levels.
We currently offer classes at Beresford Elementary school and are available to expand to offering workshops and classes at other schools within the district.
Shoshana Gleit is an art educator artist, and parent. She has experience working with a diverse population of students from preschool through high school in public schools, private schools, bilingual schools, PYP schools, ESY programs, gifted and talented programs, and art enrichment programs. She loves to travel and has taught in the United States and internationally.
Ms. Gleit enjoys developing studio arts courses that introduce students to art mediums and techniques, build art history knowledge, and encourage self expression and creative problem solving. She has a love of learning and constantly seeks to improve her knowledge of art and education.
She has a masters degree in elementary education and a bachelor of fine arts in illustration from Parsons School of Design.
